Google has introduced a brand new feature that lets you the searcher customise your results page -SearchWiki. If you are logged in to a Google account you will be able to move searches up and down the results page, hide pages and add notes to listings.
Google Product Manager Cedric Dupont says 'This is a way for search to adapt to a more interactive experience. We ran a bunch of experiments, and the response was overwhelmingly positive from our users. They asked for this feature.”
What Does SearchWiki Mean for SEO?
Google states that any changes made in the SearchWiki interface will have no bearing on natural search engine results. If you move your own site to page 1 for your keywords it is only you that will be able to see your site on page 1.
Google are not completely ruling out SearchWiki impacting on natural SE results in the future, but for now if your website is on page 10 for your keywords I'm afraid it is staying there unless you employ an SEO expert :-)
